I've had that happen too, get a pleasant surprise. Though, I have had more that I had great expectations for that turned out to be a dud for one reason or another.

I spent many hours on this sub polishing the brass fixtures about 25 years ago, I don't remember being claustrophobic, but we did have one incident on board. Three of us were the first juvenile members of the maritime museum that maintains it, and we were volunteered to polish brass...there's a lot of brass on that boat! One time someone accidentally unplugged the electrical power supply to the sub while we were on board so all the lights went out. That's about as dark as it gets, we just tried not to run our heads into anything too solid and felt our way to something that seemed to be a ladder, climbed up and fortunately came out a hatch on deck...ahh the good old days:D At least we didn't have to worry about it sinking, at the time it was in a different part of the river and was basically resting on the bottom where it was docked.

thanks, oh btw are the pictures that we're posting in here of what we've taken or what we can find online? i've been posting my stuff though.

that picture was taken a few days ago at a place called temple valley. there are all kinds of stuff there and one area that caught my attention was all the bamboo. Visitors to the location sign their name to let people know they've been there. also there are other types of trees (don't know the name) where people sign the leaves as well.

I've never tried anything like this before, we had gone to the local airshow to see a hot air balloon launch at dawn, the balloons couldn't launch because of the winds, but I thought there HAD to be a picture in the sunrise with the planes around...and I couldn't stand to waste getting up that early on a Saturday:D
