Thanks Deb! Normally I don't like to shoot House Sparrows, but this one fresh from the bath cracked me up. I got another shot of her when she's shaking the water off and the feathers are sticking out so much, you can't even tell it's a bird in there:-)

Usually the 100-400L, but sometimes if the light isn't there and I can get close enough, the 70-200 f2.8. These house sparrows are in invasive species and do some things that are not so nice, and there are so many of them sitting around they're not much of a challenge to photograph. Some bird folks prefer to shoot them with something else other than photographic equipment:eek:

Our neighbor on the other side of the fence from this picture puts all kinds of stuff out for feed so he attracts tons of these sparrows, seagulls, stray cats, etc, which chase some of the more desirable models away.

Nice shot of a Sparrow you got there Deb! I'm not sure which kind (might be a swamp sparrow or lincoln's sparrow, but I'm not sure), but it's definitely not one of the invasive ones. Cool!
