These shots are my second attempt to use my Canon 10D and Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens. This is a great lens at half the price of a similiar length Canon. The color from the 10 D is just super. I shot Raw, Adobe RGB, Iso 400, converted in BreezeBrowser to 8 bit tiff and post processed in PSE2.

Edible.

But, seriously, I love shooting wood ducks. They can be a bit skittish so the long lenses are required. I just shot some here a couple of weeks ago. Nice shot Scott.

Like the landing shots. Swan Love 1 is a great capture. This lens will serve you well.

Great wood duck shot Scott !!

Ducks don't seem to like me..

I don't think it's personal, Jim. I think they're just shy about having their picture taken and they make like an ostrich to "hide" themselves. :)

Nice duck shots, everybody. Some are very colorful, too!

I am glad it is working out for you..

Somone over at FM recently posted a review where he compares it to the Canon f/4.5....

The performance was so close to call it was barely distnguishable.. and on top of that,. he prefers the Sigma's ergonomics.. (as do I.. very well thought out and engineered)

I can put the $3,000 I saved by buying the Sigma towards a 1D MarkII! 8)
