Zoombrowser permits the "uploading" of Jpeg files to the camera from the computer; but does not allow uploading of avi files. I need to do this! Does anyone know how I can do this? I need to put the movies back on my camera occasionally.

thanks for any help.. Tom

It depends on what you want to do with it. For playing on another PC you can use a cardreader, but that's it. Even when you use a cardreader to upload the Avi's you will not be able to watch them on your camera.

Thank you for your reply Peter.

This doesn't sound good! Let me explain what I do. I'm a musician. I like to take short movies (avi) of my teacher playing the violin as she plays her violin and shows me the bowing and fingering of a new song. Later, I download the avi movie to my PC and delete it from my Canon S400 camera. ... then, later, I ofen want to put this avi movie back on my camera so I can watch and listen to it... on the camera.

Do I understand you to say that this cannot be done? Thanks again.. Tom

This is not entirely true.
You can do it, BUT, you must save the file that the camera uses as a thumbnail for the videofile.
This file has the same name, but the suffix isn't .avi, but .thm.
Put these together back to the folder on the card, and you will be able to play the file in your camera again.
