View Full Version : Using Olympus E-10/E-20P optical adapters on G5

Hi all.
I've had my wonderful G5 for less than a month now and already I am looking for ways to extend its capabilities somewhat, shame on me!
But...
Since the difference in cost is moderate and the difference in optical quality is said to be significant (compared to the Canon "originals"), I am considering the purchase of the Olympus WCON-08B and/or the TCON-14B meant for the E-10 and E-20P.
Mounting them on a Canon adapter by means of a step-up ring 58-62mm seems possible enough, but would the resulting optical system be sound?
For instance, would the camera be able to focus on infinity properly?
Would there still be vignetting when zooming in (W) or out (T)?
Maybe someone has already tried this setup and I would very much like to know if it works and what the results where.
Any advice on alternatives with similar quality and cost would also be welcome.
Thanks,
erik

As far as I know they will work fine, but all tele-adapters will show vignetting when used in the wide-angle mode and that won't be different for the oly's.
