I have gotten good comments on this picture I think because of the topic vs quality of picture. The histogram does not show a very well balanced exposure?

Criticism please!
Thank you

Well, for my tastes it's just a little too busy... the trees are too obscuring/distracting. Also, straighten the horizon. It also seems blurred/out of focus, but that may have been artificially enhanced by the attachment reduction. /Dan

Thanks Dan. I see your point about the trees, and I do have problems on horizontal horizons! I tend to focus on something else in the picture.

I find there is a big difference in critique from non photographers to photographers.

when I choose an interesting subject for instance, generally non photographers love and if it was technically off then photographers will give their constructive criticism on technique (which is good)...I find though if i don't get an interesting subject but nail the technique you'll get reverse reaction.

this sunset has a nice colour for the sky but the horizon is off and the forground is too dark (but that is my own opinion)

It's not a bad photo , I'm sure improvements can be made in PP
