well fellas, it's late at night and I'm off to bed, dreading Monday and my day job....
here's a warm thought to give me happy dreams:
with the new MarkII release, are *cheap* used 1D(s) (plural, not the other model  ) on the horizon, and what exactly would *cheap* mean? LOL if I had one, I'd keep it
I know, probably not, but for the next 20 minutes I'll dram of a 1D for $799 on Ebay. LOL
goo'nite!

They seem to be going used for almost what the last batch were new a few weeks back. I would imagine that they will fetch a high price for some time to come, what with the MK-II being $4,500 and people currently falling over themselves to fork out $2,000+ for a used MK-I.

This is a prime time for the scammers to take advantage. Be aware of camera with 80 billion actuations on it. Buy only from trusted sources. If it seems too good to be true, walk away.

The last price that B&H had them at new was $2,900.00
Used models seem to be going for anything from $2,400.00 to $3,200.00
(Yes I saw one fgo for $3200.00 .. I think it had any extra battery.. but not much else and nothing to justify the high cost)
I do not think that the 1D will be reasonable untill there are actual mkIIs avaiable to compete.
There are Vendors that may still have 1D in stock.. good luck finding them...
