Still freezing cold outside so I did not take too long to compose and wait, but I think we can all see what the new Sigma can do now ;D.
All shots are at 400mm wide open.

JAF these are great pics! Nice lens with a great shooter. Sweet!
Note that all of these images are being resized by the board. They look much better if you click on each one to see the original.

Hi,
Thanks, but I really would like to have taken some more time with the geeze, it was so cold I finaly decided after a few minutes to go home and take what I got.

WELL!
That certainly does shed some new light on the matter! :)
These are wonderfull!
They look so much like what I have come to expect from the 100-400 IS that I would have assumed that was the lens used.
You can see every drop of water clear as day.
Impressive.

I really like the shot of the owl. The shadows at play are awesome. The others are great and now I have to ask - were you using a tri-pod or hand-held?

All hand held with the OS system on 1.
All shuttertimes are in between 1/200 and 1/800 I think.
Not really good weather but rather nice.

Frank

Oh my. I thought that the Canon 100-400 IS was going to be my next lens after a wide angle. Going to have to rethink this. WOW!
