Well I been looking at these cameras and still deciding on which one should I go with CANON S500,G5,S400, A80 or OLYMPUS C750. They are all around the same price range and I am having a hard time deciding on it. Can anyone leave a feedback for me so i can decide. Thank you. :D O yea this will also be my first camera

Remeber that the smaller cameras, like the S400 and S500 will have a bit of a red-eye problem in low-light because the flash is very close to the lens. The G5 will be much better in this regard. The G5 also has a hot shoe so that you can use an external Speedlite EX flash. The G5 also allows you to add optional macro, telephoto, and wide angle lenses when you want to get more creative, etc.. Those little ELPH cameras are awesome when it comes to size though. As long as you know these shortcomings, hopefully it'll make your decision more informed.

The A80 has a great feel, produces awesome images, and it has the benefit of allowing you to mount optional lenses. It has a lot of features compared to the S400/410/500 models, but it doesn't have a hot shoe like the G5. As for the Olympus, forget about it - they have terrible optics and lenses compared to the Canon cameras, no question.

the G5 is cheaper than the s500 so now i am still deciding g5 or a80 or the olympus c750 right now . should really check out the specs on the 750 first even though i know this is a canon forum.

If you want to haunt these forums and trade war stories with the best of them, I would consider a G5. It's a powerhouse camera. Lot better than the S50 and the A80. Don't know much about the Olympus C750, but then, I am a Canon fan! :P
You have to assess your needs...what's you need, don't need, what is important, and what you are willing to give up, not compromise, etc.
All those cameras mentioned are fine cameras...it's just that they are for different types of people.
Also, I think this question has been debated before, so do a search on the forum and you'll find more meangingful insights than what I am providing.
