Hey everyone,
As cold as it was to shoot this, my fingers managed to still click. :(
This was my first time shooting a "Debut." From my understanding, it is the transition of a female girl into womanhood. In my opinion, it looked more like a wedding! It was amazing how much work went into it.
Check it out. I appreciate any feedback.

Great set of photos there, what are you using for your slideshow? Looks like ProShow but in Flash..

Neat slideshow! From the pictures, this was a more modern version of your typical Filipino debutant's party. And yes, they look short of being at a wedding! Amazing to see too the difference in culture that America has put inot their lives.

NIce work. I like the speed of the show but the extremes are a little too much. I mean to say the fastest and slowest frame changes are too far apart. At the start the speed you are clocking through the frames is apparent but appealing; its to the point. But then there is a flurry of shots which is just a bit too quick almost chaotic, some of the shots you barely get time to look at. The quality of the pics are on the whole good and you can see the work that has gone into them. I would say well done, just mellow the whole thing out a little.

Thanks for the feedback! I have never been to a Filipino debutant's party, so this was quite an eye-opening experience. It is something I highly suggest all photographers to explore. We should always try to enrich ourselves with a myriad number of cultures.
The slideshow was created with David Jay's Showit. It is a rather neat program because it is easy to navigate through. HIS SITE (http://www.showitfast.com) It is a quick and easy way to have your photos shared amongst your client's family, friends, etc.
For lighting, I used a 580EX and AlienBee strobe. However, I relied a lot on the laser and disco lights for my lighting hahaha. I realized that I could not use too much power from my flash or else it would wash out the ambient/laser lights. I wanted to retain the mood of the evening.
Again, thanks for the feedback! I highly appreciate it
