Has anyone ever noticed their 10D read/write speed slow down significantly when the battery level is really low?
Mine did it this past weekend, put in a newly charged battery - and back up to fast read/write times. Is this planned functionality to v2??!!

Cant say I have, but then I always take a lot of time between shots so it never really bothers me. 8)

I stuff the buffer full all the time :)
I have not noticed this at all though.. I wonder is it coincedence,. could there have been something else involved?
Did you change file size? Jpeg to RAW?
The only thing I can theorize as far as the battery goes would be a voltage drop...
But usually this will efect the shutter... never heard of it slowing down the transfer or card write performance

Did nothing different. Was taking about 20 sequence shots of the little one when about halfway thru, the MTBP (mean time between pics) -- my new acronym - was longer. Waited for the buffer to clear and card to stop writing (ie - red light done blinking it's ass off) - and started snapping away - same deal - long MTBP. Weird. Switched batts, and back to normal 9 quick shots within an eye blink. Again, weird.
Maybe it was the subject? But then again, it wasn't ducks head first in the water mooning me!

Good job you don't live in South London
Greenwich MTBP is well-known for being slow - can be up to an hour behind european continent!
