Can someone please tell me how large a room a trio of 180 watts can be lit properly? These were given to me as a Christmas present and the receipent is anxious about the use of them suiting my needs. I do on location events such as awards ceremonies and pet portraits in client homes/stores.

Thanks

First you may need to clarify if you are referring to incandescent lights with a 180 Watt power rating, or some sort of flash unit with a 180 Watt-second energy storage rating. Studio flash units are often rated in the amount of energy they store in the units capacitors (in Watt-seconds, W-s, or Ws, not Watts).

I suspect it is the last, a Watt-second energy storage rating, but a definitive declaration would remove any ambiguity.

Or, possibly you are referring to someting else.

Enjoy! Lon

180 They are an off-shore manufacture if it matters. I can turn on and off the modeling light and it does have variable output.
