New to photography, wanting to get into portrait photography. One of my first photos. Want your comments and critique.

OOF used intentionally... is it distracting? Personally, it's the effect I was going for, but I can see where some might now like it.

Thanks.

Your eye is drawn to the close eye and the bangs, right where I would want it! Shallow depth of field means that the (kinda) cluttered backround doen't matter anymore. If I had to suggest an improvement, move her out of center (crop some off of the left side)

Thank you for the input. I still have the original raw and can re-crop it like you mentioned.

Again, this site is so awesome. Great for newbies trying to learn.

I like this shot and agree with Michael about the crop. Pretty model, nice focus on the eye.

Excellent shot and I think the light sepia quality makes it work, even more so.

Looks very good! I agree about cropping some of the left side, however that might leave the viewer wondering what she was looking at. Either way, I think it's nice and you should be proud.

Thank you all for your comments. I might reprocess with a different cropping and then repost the edited photo.
