I am not quite sure what I did here...
ISO 100
1/250
5.3
50mm
but I feel like there has to be something to make it better... color? lighting?... Any suggestions?

Move them away from the backdrop toward the camera and use some dof to smooth out the backsheet.?
50mm f/1.4 time ;)

Quick play, smoothed skin a little by hand, levels and colour adjustment, faker vignette, small amount of dodge and burn. Pinch of crop. Is it better? you decide :)

I really like this pic, nice contrast. Here is a quick edit I did, cropped a bit off the right side, sharpened, and dodge the eyes so that they would stand out, and finally applied some noise ninja. Hope you don't mind, and like the edit.

Thanks Mike and JCR. I like your edits. I can appreciate what you both did with the photo. I will play around some more as well. Thanks :)

This is adorable. I messed with it a bit but really could not make it any better than it already is... I think the thing that you are struggling with may be the highlights on the face of the girl on the right side of the image.. a little strong.
If you shot this in RAW you may be able to decrease the exposure and highlight a bit. I think you can do that in CS2 also, but I don't have CS2 so am limited.
Anyway, a darling shot of 2 girls who obviously love each other! ;)
Great job!

Thanks guys. Kristy, I think you may be right. I did shoot raw but re-formatted the card and I also already deleted the TIFFS!! Darn. Oh well. I'll just have to make peace with what I have left :)

here's a 2 process workup - replaced the background color and softened the image just alittle ;)
