Was bored...decided to try something new

Needed to kill some time so I started going through RAW files looking for stuff to mess with and this one caught my eye.

I think the border effect is just too busy for this shot, I added noise and a little blur for effect. Not even sure where I was going with this :)

Just messing around with CS2...the crop is pretty bad, but there's a crowd of folks in front of the subject and it was difficult to crop any other way :(

Oh well, I had fun and this is definitely a bit different than the route I normally go with PP work.

Am I being too critical because it's my own work? Or does it really just kind of look.....blah? :p I love brutal honesty!

I'm not crazy about the border but I sure do like the noise, B&W and bit out of focus.

I think the weird border and crop are the two things holding this pic back.

This is a 100% crop of a picture and I happened to notice him sitting there on the far left side of the photo and he seemed interesting.

I've got a few more of him though that are much better....gonna play with those and see what I can come up with...this time with a proven border method (nothing crazy :D )

Try with no border at all.. And add vignetting if you can with software you're using.. I like the effect of vignetting, depending on photo. On this one it could look good :)
