Was Kelsey gripless as well? What about Shay? and Feng's friend (name escapes me at the moment) Nick was gripless as well but that is just because he can't buy a grip for his camera.
Let it be known far and wide that I have, and always will, have grip. thank you. :D

Another from last night. I guess they all come back with this view. Nigel and I walked to the bottom of the cliffs because wanted to try this shot again and wouldn't be there tonight.
I think you're right about us seeing a few shots like that lovely one when they all return. Looks like they may have escaped Mother Nature's wrath this evening, too.
Damn, I was hopin' they'd all get wet.
just loading them into the photoshop organiser now.
I almost had a heart attack though. I have an old school 1 gig cf card and it just started to fail on me tonight when I was loading the photos on. I was able to load most of them off the card, but not all. I think it's retirement time of the ol sandisk :(
Just be glad it was only 1 out of 4. I've wondered what sort of life expectancy CFs have. How long have you had that one for?

Thanks, we got a brief shower about 20min ago but only enough to wet the ground.
I seem to remember seeing that CFs last a few years only. Mmmm, I just gave the wife my oldest to take with her to London. :o She only has a little P&S (3Meg) with 2x512 and 1x256 cards.

The saturation looks good to me. Well, that's on my NEC. If I move it to the laptop it does look a little under-saturated (considerable difference). I have to do some prints so I can verify my calibration.

Not too bad. Mind you, I'd be quite partial to more of a bleached effect given the subject matter.

ah huh, and there was a lovely little 'window box' growing some beautiful weeds off to the left.
I intend to have more of a play with the house photo and try a more desaturated look or maybe even make it sepia, at least something to make it look more old school.
All I'm doing at the moment is just going though my photos chucking them in photoshop and just pretty much resizing them.
Anyone need to use the toilet? (and no, my horizon is level and it's not lens distortion....)

The 350D shots were taken in RAW, so the camera interface won't recognise them. Did a quick search on here, seems I might need to borrow Dad's card reader.

Yeah I wasn't expecting that to come out as "well" as it did because it was darker when I chimped it. I have a couple where I tried using the on-camera flash with the 12-24 and there is this huge shadow on the ground. The 12-24 might be a little to big and wide, eh?

Stores like Myer usually have a policy that prohibits photos being taken inside their premises. Shopping centres themselves usually have rules like this too, so if a security guard sees a large group of people with cameras like we have then I doubt we'd be allowed to stay there much longer.

Actually I had the first hand of being thrown out of a shopping centre for spending too much time taking pictures inside. I think though if we spread out a bit, then we should be (maybe) ok :D

I've had a couple of 8x12's done at Fotofast in the Myer Centre. Can't vouch for their quality because I got them to print a couple of neg scans so the quality was compromised before they went anywhere near the print station.
If you're looking for the humble 4x6, then Kmart is usually where I go for digital prints. Ah, trusty ol' Kmart.
I've heard people at BCG give their utmost approval for this place called Digilab on the northside. Once again better if you're only after prints that are bigger than 4x6.
