Software connection with computer problem

have a new G2. I installed the software accompanying the computer, including the ZoomBrowserEX3.1 It installed easily, and the first time I hooked it up to the computer with the USB cable, it recognized the new hardware, and then connected. The camera automatically shut down, and will not open as long as it is hooked up to the computer. Each time i turn on the camera, it starts the whole download process again, giving me a new G2 icon in my Scanner and Cameras box in the My computer control panel. The camera shuts down every time, and I can't use the application.

Hi,

This problem of yours may be the same as mine - see "G2's are cracking up"! I would suggest that you get the interface socket on the G2 (i.e. where the USB cable connects to the G2) checked out, as mine sounds like the same problem as yours.
When the G2 is not connected to the PC everything is fine. Have you checked for a crack in the casing?
