When different sizes of the photos are offered to the user (e.g. default size, middle size, large size, etc.), the visitor can decide which size is most convenient for him. This is a very nice and user-friendly feature of EE.
But how do I change this feature when I want to offer only two or may be only the default size for a certain exhibition after a while? I can't believe to go through the whole procedure of uploading and adjusting the photos including making description etc. again, do I?

No, don't delete and reupload. This is a database so all data can be changed. You can change size path settings in photo editor i.e hide one path from public. There is no dedicated editor for global editing of size paths, but one trick to make this in batch is to go into path editor, make a typo in the path you don't need, and the go to path finder editor which will not find it and marks it away.

Thank you, Pekka. Yes, I did it this way and it works fine. :)
