Hi

Here you see the stuck pixel on my G2 - http://www.pbase.com/image/1652273
800X-axis - 1100Y-axis approx.
It shows up even at 1/1000 sec.

Big Q: Should I return the camera now, or wait a couple of months to have more stuff fixed on warrenty?

Jens, call Canon, they told me that the image sensor did not have a 1 year warranty like the rest of the camera.

Don't wait too long.

I am not sure what the "say what" means, but I am sure you are applying it to my post. "Say What?" is just about what I said to Canon when they told me that the image sensor was only guaranteed for 90 days. The lady I spoke to said that is what is stipulated on the paperwork that comes with the camera.

Guess what? Check YOUR paperwork. Either Canon is trying to pull a fast one, or they have changed the paperwork, or she was flat wrong... My paperwork says nothing about the image sensor being warranteed for a shorter period of time. I can tell you that without a doubt, this is what the lady told me... The warranty card that I have does not stipulate this, however. Sorry to pass on the information that appears to be incorrect. I am wondering if it is possible that they have recently changed the policy and that older units, or newer units do have a limited policy regarding the image sensor.

There is a note that the battery pack has a separate 90 day policy. This note is where the Mail-In Service information is.

Put your glasses on and check the fine print on your card. My eyes still hurt...

btw, is Canon USA and Canada card.

Only the lens cap and the little piece of rubber that cover the Ac/Dc plug are garanteed 1 year.

Seriously kd6lor, is it a troll?!?!?!?

Anyway, there is **always** a **legal** warranty.
