Haven't been out with a camera in months and had a day off today. So I loaded up and went to a place I've always wanted to shoot but never been to as it's somewhat hard to get to. I'm glad I did!

I like every one except #2. I don't like the long view with the middle range being the only part in focus. Great shot of the Horseshoe Crab.

I actually like #2 best! I guess it's one of those shots that will sollicit opinions on both sides of the fence ;-) It certainly is an "out-of-the-box" type shot.

I like the shot of the horseshoe crab. I haven't seen one since I was a kid. They used to be pretty common on the beaches around Boston, but not anymore.

NIce captures Brandon. #2 is a very good example of a concept called "selective focus" where the photograph tries to draw attention to a subject while including other similar objects in the frame. It's a highly subjective composition technique but I think you did well on this one Brandon.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I liked #2 and the last one as well but couldn't figure out which I liked better. I need to go back through the files and reprocess them as they came out a little harsher than I would've liked but I was kinda in a rush. Like a couple of you mentioned I think it's a preference thing as to which you'd find more appealing.

I love the osprey! And those shots of the intercoastal make me want to head down to Florida. We are sitting here in a cold drizzle today! Nice shots--you should get out more often!

Number 6 is great photograph. Very unusual composition and kinda moody too. All other shots are good, but # 6 is way more than that.

I like them all, but number 2 especially! You need to get out more! You definitely have the knack.
