Is there any chance upgrading my 10D flash from 1.01 to 2.0x has impacted my quality. I have looked at images taken prior to the upgrade - as sharp and with the same detail as my Canon 50mm 1.8, but slightly underexposed. Now, the exposure is close to correct, but the detail seems to be fuzzy. I hope, I am doing something different.

Any thoughts?

As far as anyone knows, there were zero changes to focus and/or exposure calibrations. Same when going to 2.0.1.

All,

I checked my the pictures I had taken a few months ago vs. most recent. The older pictures for the most part were as sharp as pictures taken with my 50mm 1.8 lense on the 10d. The exception were a few pictures taken at f5.6. Pictures taken with f-stop 4.0, 4.5, 8.0, ... were excellent. Well my recent pictures due to limited outside lighting had been shot at f5.6 and were all slightly fuzzy (shutter speed 125 to 1000).

I plan to test this theory.

Why would f5.6 be a problem - any thoughts?[/list]
