Well, for one, lack of good composition:lol:.
BASIC COMPOSITION RULES:
Rule #1: When composing a portrait, make sure the subject doesn't have any trees or poles coming out of his/her head.
Rule #2: The same applies to arms or legs coming out of any other parts of another subject's body.
Rule #3: (Most important) If you have to brake any of those rules, make sure the subject's expressions and pose don't correlate with rule#2.
