Looking for opinions

I like both these images and am partial to the original, but the desaturated one has an eerie appeal to it. Any thoughts? All comments welcome...

I think #1 works better and gives far more atmosphere than the B&W version. I expect to see Lurch emerging any moment!

Thanks. It is spooky looking isn't it. This shot was taken at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago. It's pretty historic with graves going back to pre-Civil War. There is some really elaborate crypts here. This image is about two years old taken with the 300D and a 28/300mm Sigma. I'm going back soon now that I have better glass to shoot with, not to mention the 5D.

Thanks Ryan! This is one of my favorites and I took it when I didn't really know what I was doing LOL! I'm going back in a couple of weeks and try to recapture it.

I want to go there, the clour one is almost desaturated in its appearance. Wonderul door. I expect it to open and the creatures of Doom III to spring out!

You're probably right. I had a hard time cropping because the columns on the side are tapered but I wanted to leave at least one in the shot.

Another vote for #1. Great shot. I love door photographs. I did not realize it was a vault until reading down the thread. The leaves on the sill really add to the mood.
