Since upgrading to Exhibit Engine 2.0x I'm unable to upload photos to my database through the "SPECIAL: no ftp or resize automation (manual file upload)"
The upload report has no information:
Return to UPLOAD TO DATABASE (http://www.photojourneys.nl/admin/EDITOR_upload.php?exhibition=56&ee_lang=eng) editor.
Note that [view] link opens public photo page with current user permissions.
If photo has errors, the reason can be seen in messages (http://www.photojourneys.nl/admin/EDITOR_message.php?exhibition=56&ee_lang=eng). If large sizes have failed, you can reupload in photo editor after reason for error has been fixed. If thumbs have failed you can redo them with rethumbnailer.
UPLOAD REPORT IS EMPTY
End of Report.
In the debug log I see the following error message:
2222007-01-19 14:13:26'lock_messages' in 'editor functions' Access denied for user: 'snl47125@%' to database 'snl47125'
Any thoughts how to solve this.
Thanks
Theo

but you can upload with the standard functions??
In the debug log I see the following error message:

it appears that your host hasn't enabled "lock" privileges for your account... what type and version of database server are you working with?

Thanks for your reply. I have never tried to use the other options uploading my photos in the database. Using PS action to create microthumbs, thumbs, small and medium sizes. Manually upload them an add them to the database. In version 1.5 this never used to be a problem.
I've included my service providers version information.

i'm not sure what versions of mysql that "lock" priviledge is available on but i'd definitely check with your host... hopefully pekka will now see this thread and confirm that this is what the problem is...
it is possible that there's more info in the original requirements for this version of eE... that info is in at least one of the postings in these forums...

and
