So I was out photographing some birds this past sunday and I saw some folks playing soccer in a field behind my dorm so I thought I'd try my hand at getting some shots. They were just playing for fun so they aren't as intesnse as I've seen here. Keep in mind, these are my first ever try at shooting soccer so I had a lot to learn and I still have so much to improve on. I spent about an hour taking pictures. They were all handheld with my 20D and 100-300mm f4 lens with shutter speeds around 1/1000th. I shot in JPEG with AWB so a few were messed up because the clouds kept coming and going, messing with my exposure and WB. I shot in AI Servo mode. I wish the sun had been elsewhere, but there was really only one bench and I did not want to handhold the camera standing for an hour or so. C&C welcome and needed.

The shots look good to me. You caught some good facial expressions and action shots keep up the good work.

I think your exposure is pretty good here. One thing to watch out for, in 4 out of 5 of your shots, all you can see of the primary player in the shot is the back of his head. These kinds of shots are always more interesting when you can see faces.......

Though I find the height of his kicking leg to be rather interesting... :)

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I wish I could have been on the other end of the field as it seemed like the aggressive players were always heading in that direction, away from me.
Thanks,
Reed
