Ok, i am wanting to purchase the Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 Premium, which I can purchase now for $399 since I am a K-12 educator. My questions are...

Should I go ahead and purchase the CS2.3 now, and upgrade to the CS3 in March/April, or should I wait it out until the new edition is released?

What do you think the upgrade will cost?

I am wondering what price the CS3 academic version will be offered at, and if the savings will even be comparable to the savings the CS2.3 academic version allows for those who qualify.

If the price of 2.3 academic version($399) PLUS the upgrade to CS3($xxx) will cost more than the 3.0 academic version($xxx), assuming they will offer it at a discounted price, then my answer, obviously, is to wait. But...

Does this make any sense?

Any and all help will be appreciated!

Check with the place you are looking to buy from, and see if they have any type of Software Assurance program. This will allow you the upgrade to CS3 for free once it comes out (within in a certain time frame, I want to say 1 year) I just purchased 2 copies of CS2.3 with it, and it was only $60 more then just buying 2.3. I am not sure how many places offer this, we are a non-profit. We were going to hold off, but our marketing department needed it pretty bad...so the extra $60 was not a big deal...

Thanks Mac. I was hoping someone would reply! I was looking on academic superstore.com, so i will have to go back there and check to see if they have a software assurance program.
I appreciate your help!
