Found me a rainbow on the Big Island of Hawaii. Let me know what you think of this one

Ooh, very pretty. :) I think there's another rainbow above it, its very faint though. Great capture. :D

Jim, that shot is super. I don't know how you caught that Rainbow (photo wise) but nice work. I spent three months on the Big Island (military) and never saw a single rainbow.

Great shot.
All rainbows actually appear in pairs. You never get a lone one, the second, or higher is an inversion of the colours in the lower (and usually brighter) first. You may not always be able to spot the second, but its always there. The area between the two is called the dark band and is the boundary between light and dark sky. This image shows that nicely!
Again, nice capture. Is there a waterfall just over the horizon by any chance?

Thanks for the explanation of the rainbow, I did not know these things. This was taken on the lava fields, no waterfalls in sight :)
