I have a picture I want to print out and possibly frame .. do you guys put or leave the border around the picture? .. or do you let it print to the edge and let the frame take care of the bordering?
Also, should I leave my digital signature in the lower right?
Im not going to sell it but I want it to look good hanging on the wall
Thanks

It usually easier to crop to a standard size, 5x7 or 8x10 or whatever. Then you can get a standard, off-the-shelf matte. Cropping sometimes sucks, though. And it's not an issue if you are going to get it professionally framed. Actually, I don't know if you were thinking about matting it, but I almost always will matte a print.
Is it going to hang on your wall? If not, then definitely leave the signature. If so, then might it seem egotistical? (I don't think so, but then again I rarely see my mother-in-law or jealous brothers.) Do you want people to immediately know you took it, or might you want to have the opportunity to say something like "Yep, *I* took that picture!!"

hmm good points .... Ill probably have someone matte it for me and now that I think about it, Im going to leave my name off.
I might go for the 8x10 or larger. I showed the the picture to my dad and he really liked it and said it would look cool in his house, so I was going to print and frame it for him - These Flowers (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26525)
