D-30 Rebate offer

Hi new member here.

I've been reading all the posts and all I can say is "wow". Lot's of information. Anyway, I hope someone can help me. I bought my D-30 back in December and sent in the rebate offer (with my warranty card :( ) on 8 January. The problem is I still haven't received anything back... no battery, microdrive, no warranty card, nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? I've sent letters and e-mails to Canon, but still no response to them either. Any ideas how I can resolve this problem?

Tia,

Try your dealer and ask them who their Canon sales rep is. Get the dealer sales rep involved and that might get you somewhere.

Other than you might try calling instead of writing the almighty Canon at 1-800-OK-Canon.

I sent mine in maybe a week ahead of you and although I do not remember exactly when I got it, I think it was late February or early March.

Hi Tia,

You can try this number: (800) 872-8893 ext. 836. This is the number to the company which Canon has contracted to handle this rebate offer. I called them last week, and they were able to tell me the shpment status of my microdrive and battery.

I sent in my rebate form around the same time you did, and I just received the two items on April 11.

I bought my D-30 online, so I'm not sure how much the dealer would be willing to help me, but it's worth a shot. James, thanks for the phone number. I'll definitely phone them on Monday!

Thanks chaibaby. I called the number today and they were able to tell me it was shipped out last week. Hopefully I'll have it soon.

Recieved d-30 on Jan 15, sent info next day, 2 months later they sent everything back, resubmitted next day, many calls to Canon no results, called the dealer Focus Camera they contacted Canon my micro drive and battery arrived today. Three months after submitance. stay with it call your dealer they can help. cozy
