I'm really new to all of this. I started taking pictures in November when I got a Rebel XTI. I need alot of practice and CC to get better. Thanks in advance for the input.
This was a candid shot on an overcast day (late evening). Photoshop used to convert to B&W and adding the border.

Nice capture, they look like best friends. Needs more contrast though I think, the toning looks a little flat.

The dogs coat looks amazing, its eyes too. Gofor's human looks better with the added contrast and so does some of the pooch. But on this screen some of the hair has gone solid black. Maybe an in-betweeney would be better. I love it!

I REALLY LIKE this shot!
The first version (low contrast) is best in my book.
What I like about it is the "timeless" quality. It looks like it could be from a polar expedition a hundred years ago. To that end, I think the shot would be improved if you cloned out the "COLUMBIA" logo, and perhaps the round dog tag as well.
Well done.
