Hi all. So, finally after buying my 400d before xmas, I finally managed to find some time to get out and about last night. the weather was bad and the wind did not help matters... Anyway, here are two pics which I thought were ok from a whole bunch that were not. Still learning the ropes, but any critique would be appreciated even if the juggular is the target.

I can take it!:D

Kit Lens @ 18mm. f8, ISO 100 13secs. Slight PP with white balance and saturation...

50mm 1.8. f11, 10secs, ISO 100. Slight PP with white balance and saturation...

Problem I have is that any PP is done on my laptop and im not sure if the colour is accurate, or the brightness for that matter...

Anyway, thanks all!

Your images are slightly short on composition, but the composition is negated by all the other elements that work really well. These are keepers. You've done well.

I like them a lot, I like the detail against the plain sky and the River Thames in the first one. The second one is also very good. You've exposed just right and I love the colour in the reflections again topped by the detail of the London background.

cheers guys... Getting the sigma 10-20mm at the end of the month. Will try and do better with composition. Its not easy walking the city at night and trying to take a pic from the ideal spot - always worried someone is going to grab n run with my camera.

Probably best to have someone with you in these busy places...

The exposures are nicely done, although the compositions leave much to be desired. Rule of thirds should really be used most of the time.
