I have read the documentation but there is no mention how to enable it, or at least I did not find that and it does not seem to work for me as when I upload an image there is a menu that says Guess but when the photo is added to the gallery, there is no exif and I have to enter shutter speed, aperture etc all manualy. Yes my photos have exif intact, all of them. Just not sure what I need to do to make Exhibit enable it?
thanks,
Dani :?:

Daniella, goto the admin pages select graphic modules. In the listbox select the internal exif viewer and click on "do this test" If You see exif data in the output You can then click on the button exif is installed. Do this test for all modules.

One note: EXIF reading is in 1.5RC version only. Also, you can have either PHP's exif mode or internal EXIF reader active, not both.

I thought I had this working but now the EXIF data is completely wrong.
The file in the normal folder does contain valid EXIF data but it is not displayed properly.
Have a look here:
http://www.klein-jensen.dk/ee/photo.php?photo=108
It indicates the shutterspeed to be 1/1 but it is really 1/80.
APERTURE: f/4 but it really is 4.5
I use 1.5 RC2

Actually the shutter speed is reported by camera as 1/79.
Yes there are couple of bugs. I post a fix for PHP EXIF and XMP readers in few minutes. Internal EXIF needs more time - as I have mentioned it is not as complete as PHP module yet.

That sounds good.
Do You happen to know why the php exif does not work even when the phpinfo() statement says exif is enabled?

The fix can be downloaded from http://photography-on-the.net/ee/beta/RC2/exif_fix_1.zip
Fixes
PHP EXIF: ShutterSpeedValue problem fixed
PHP and INTERNAL EXIF: ApertureFNumber rounding removed
XMP: ShutterSpeedValue added
XMP: times like 2004-02-15 11:02:14+01:00 fixed (timezone removed from time)

Perhaps the admin has disabled those functions.

But it was not the latest version. I just upgraded to php 4.3.4 and it looks like exif is working with the builtin module.
