Hi Guys,
post #1 - and the news is good. Due mainly to lurking about in these forums I have today taken delivery of a 16-35L for my D60

thanks for all the discussion about wide-angles! now I only need time to give it a good thrashing...

cheers.

It is a small, but important, minority.

Welcome, what in the end made you go 16-35 rather than 17-40?

Thanks,
I'm off to Egypt on holiday in April & the museums there are awesome, but don't allow flash - so the extra stop is likely to be well used.
Shame I don't have time to save up for a 35-350 which is probably next on the wishlist.

Yes, there's a lot to be said in favor of a good fast lens. I suspect that I'll some day be buying a wide prime. I have the 17-40 now and while I'm very happy with it, I have seen a few situations where something faster would be nice.

Enjoy your trip to Egypt!

Wooo-hoo! I think you will really like the 16-35 lens. I have one and really like it for wide angle landscape/sunset pics. I have not used it yet but also have the 24-70 L lens too, and a Sigma 120-300 F2.8Ex as well.
