FWIW, sounds interesting at the very least, if not pricey :)

AHAHH NOT WRONG...

oops caps

def. would be a bit of fun, not too sure about the amount of real use it would be apart from those using it for the wrong reasons :o

Pricey, but I would have a killer time with one.

Imagine the price if it were an SLR. Nonetheless, it looks pretty awesome.

Fuji is all about the IR lately:

i would love to own the s3 UVIR but i don't see myself paying so much for something that will not get much use. i do think that this will be the new standard for CSI etc...

Sorry, I had to resurrect this old thread.

Have any of you LEO types used either of the above cameras in the field?

Are you pleased with the results?

I'm asking because a buddy of mine's department came across some money and he's considering a purchase. He's full time CSI and would prolly use it more than I would (I'm a LEO too, but we don't need anything like that).

Now if only I can convince him to drop N*k*n and move over to Canon!

Better yet, maybe Canon will jump on the IR-only-body market.

Thanks in advance:D

Cheers,
