Yes, they were replaced by the 400D (Rebel XTi) and the 30D. I fail to see your point...

After they released de 400D, the 350D was still in the Canon websites and the brochures for a while, but not now. May be I didnīt realize just until now....it was the same with the 30D and the 20D. They did coexist in the market. For that reason the prices did drop.

But they are not anymore in production. But dealers are still offering it ... they have still stocks ...

If a new 40D is coming, I guess they are still manufacturing the 30D but ....

350D was not replaced by 400D and is not discontinued despite the HK site. With the introduction of 400D, it took the place of 350D as Canon's amateur level offering competing with Nikon D80. This moved 350D into a lower entry level category to compete with Nikon D40. Canon recently dropped $300 of the 350D price and will not discontinue it until it is replaced by 4000D (the new repackaged and facelifted 350D). The Canon Europe Website shows still clearly the 350D in the brochure of actual bodies:

http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Cameras/Digital_SLR/index.asp

But Canon HK states clearly tha the 350D is discontinued.... The future is now in HK??? I know they go some hours before us .... but it look like they go also some months ahead !!!

Of course the 350 was discontinued when the 400 came out. You really think Canon are gonna run two parallel production lines??
All you're seeing advertised is unsold stock they & the dealers still need to move.

My understanding was that the 350D would stay in the lineup through Christmas - I guess so Canon could have an entry-level body.

Now that the holidays have passed, it might be time to send it on its way to the Canon Museum.

Have Fun,

In the latest EOS magazine they interviewed somebody from canon UK, and they said that intitially the 400D was only in production at their factory in Japan, because the factory in Taiwan was still making the 350 but that was about to change to the 400D shortly.
