View Full Version : Been Unfaithful

I have just purchased a Minolta G600 in mint condition; as a pocket camera, to go along side my G6.
I could not justify a G7 which is much larger and only has much the same features That I would actually use.
As the G7 has no remote or raw either, I will not be missing much.
The G600 is very easy to set in manual and is noted for its lack of fringing.
It is a great shame Minolta is not around to be able to continue this series.

I would love to be unfaithful, but i would need a LOT of money to do so (Leica M8 and Rollie 6008 with a Digital back don't come cheap..) so I am sticking to my dearly beloved Canons for now :) enjoy your new pocket-able camera.. hope it does the job for you : )

It is a great shame Minolta is not around to be able to continue this series. You mean your are not thrilled that Sony took over Konica-Minolta?
I used a Minolta 35mm SLR for 15 years. My experience with a dImage 7 put me off digital photography for 4 years until I bought my tiny Sony shot 6000 photos in 6 months and realised there was a future in digital so now I have my Canon S3IS and my Sony DSC-P200.:D
Enjoy your shooting with whatever camera gives you the results you want, just do it.

Tried it out today on a site pano
You can lock focus and exposure so no problems... this one is hand held 5x landscape.
Not quite as good as the G6 using raw, but not bad for a pocket camera.
some highlight loss but only to be expected in the contrasty conditions.
