ixus500 - default values

hi
i have an ixus 500
, recently i hit the camera against something
and the lcd-screen became defective - unusable actually
apart from that the camera just runs fine :)

could someone tell me what the default values are when i turn on the camera ?
when i hit the button for 'close-ups/infinity shots' ?
also for the flash-button ?
and what are the values thereafter when i hit those buttons ?

so for example i will know how many times i have to hit the flash-button
to take a picture without flash :oops:

a lot of words i know ..

You might try hooking the video out port up to a TV and exercise all the menu options that way if your camera's documentation doesn't give you a detailed menu tree somewhere in it. That'll at least let you know where to start. IIRC at least some of the options don't reset when you power down.
