Waiting for S410 and S500 to be released in April. I like to take lots of sunset and night pictures. Does anyone that has a S400 having any suggetions for taking the best low light pictures using a camera that is almost devoid of manual functions?

Use a tripod, the nightshot mode, and higher ISO if necessary.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe the S410 or S500 will have any more manual control than the S400.
If you want full manual control, you better look elsewhere !

i got a s400 to use daily since i cant carry my g5 around with me easily...
i definitely recommend a mini tripod and slower shutter speeds...
this was taken with my s400, no tripod i set it on a rock instead, shutter speed set to 2 seconds in manual mode, plus i used the cameras 2 second timer to make sure i didnt shake the camera when i took the pic.

i didnt get to experiment too much since i only had time for one picture but u get the idea. even thought the s400 is limited on manual controls, we are frtunate to at least be able to set the cam to use a shutter speed of something slower than 1 second.
i am headed out tonight with a friend to shoot a bunch of stuff at a university so i will try it there as well.
