I have only had the 2 nights without cloud cover. Nothing can be worse than knowing that its just up there & the clouds are between it & you.

The city lights add depth and scale to these photos which makes both some of the best photos I have seen of this comet. Nice work.

Without a doubt the best Comet McNaught photos I've see so far.

Tks for your comments everyone. I went out again last night however there was 2 layers of cloud that put a quick end to any shots. I have heard that even though its getting smaller...the tail is becoming more prominent. I assume there will be a point soon where it also falls off in brightness also.

Very nice shots. What kind of shutter time were you using for these?

Thanks..the one over the city (from memory) was about 4 or 5 seconds & the night sky one was 30 seconds.

Good to know, although it's gone up here now. I was ready for it, but we had clouds the whole time. :(

Think so. I may well be wrong but if you are close to the equator you can/may see a bit of tail but up higher on the globe its def out. Im no atsro nut at all but thats what ive been reading.

Well, I'v seen a number of comets, and some were quite spectacular but I didn't have a camera. The images of this one are quite nice. :)
