Ah, yes...Hyacinth Macaws, Very photogenic birds.

This is probably the best composition you could achieve given where you were photographing, basically a zoo style display which is very limiting in compositional options. It would have been nice to move a little more to the left and try to get the birds more prominantly in the foreground, but that was probably not an option. This composition works, though. Maybe you could crop a little all the way around and bring the birds more to the front, but then the soft focus on the eyes will be a little more noticeable.

With this photo the problems that jump out at me are that the birds are really not in sharpest focus, specifically the eyes and the shadows and color saturation, especially the greens could be brought out a little more. You could probably fix the shadows and color saturation quickly in Levels or Curves and maybe a little USM on the birds would help some.

Overall, though...not bad.
