Well finding the S70 might be a challenge if your checking any local camera shops, although you might get lucky and a 'mom & pop' shop might have one. Ebay is prob your best bet and I see there are 5 out there as of today (Sat). I'm assuming your looking at this P&S model because of RAW feature?
I currently use the Powershot S80 and I love it. It has all the features like the S70, but no RAW mode. It is smaller than the S70, so a little more compact. It might be a possibly easier to find at a camera retailer but they are discontinued as well. There are a few on Ebay as well.
You probably know the specs on these cameras. I love these cameras as they are the few compact models with manual controls and have the wide angle lens to shoot more in a frame. If you find one, go for it.

Do a search on amazon.com. You'll find them there.

Thanks for the info.
No, it is not because the RAW feature. It is because the great wide-angle and, specially, because the capability of using the remote control to take photos. As a hang gliding instructor I use to attach the camera on the wing to take in-flight photographs by using the remote control. Either the S60 and S70 are good for me. I see some refurbished cameras available in some of these sites but I am quite hesitating to buy a used camera.
The S80 seems to be a great camera, but, unfortunately, it doesn´t work with aremote control.

I see. Well, if you can find one in brand new condition... fantastic... but I think it might be a bit of a challenge.
Already having the S80, I wouldn't want to get another P&S camera that doesn't have the wide angle lens. I find that more of an advantage than using a zoom feature. The remote is a cool thing and I decided between the S70 and the S80 (when it first came out), and I opted for the smaller size of the S80.

I bought a brand new S70 in Penang ML, this April. I was looking for something more "camera" than the superthin I was always carrying. So far, my only issue is the rather low battery capacity. But since it is the same battery as my D400, I have double sets and a spare charger.
Very happy so far
