Absolutely superb. 3 Mustangs in the one shot - could have been taken straight out of 1944.

So did the engine make the plane, or did the plane make the engine.....
The Laminar flowwing on the Mustang was ahead of its time, the Merlin engine was probably the best aero engine of the era.....

It first came with the Allison engine. The Brits made the right swap.

Not only is this an awesome shot, but I'm checking out your other shots on that website and they are fantastic! There sure are a lot of them too. Wish I had that much spare time to shoot aircraft these days. Your Duxford shots bring back fond memories of shooting at the Legends shows in 1999 & 2000. Keep posting more of these lovelies!

Some of the guys here are just a bit 'anti' airliners net....;) but submitting pics there has improved my photography tremendously. I had to suffer many rejections to learn how to make the grade.....
As for time.....well, I have to mix my photography with my car hobby, Home Cinema, computing and more. I keep telling the wife I don't really have the time to work..

Do you think Anet would have accepted that one if is was more than 0.0000005 degrees off level... The gentle slope of the background is actually correct at Duxford.
Have you ever submitted any of yours? Those close crops you post are awesome..

:D They usually take off away from us & you aren't allowed get in front of them. Plus, from here, getting to Chino would be like Moscow for you! Pretty good distance. Just ask that Schicklegruber guy. ;)

If you go to www.airshowbuzz.com (http://www.airshowbuzz.com) and look in the Warbird video section, look for Princess Elizabeth Duxford Oct 2006 and you will see this takeoff on video in a head on view.

I can watch that one and the Sweetie Face Barrel roll all day. It looked like you all were against the sun, being almost shooting into it..
