Threads not opening

I've noticed over the past week or so that some thread topics open very slow. The last of which did not open at all after a long wait. The "show us where you live" topic in the general chat forum.
Anyone else having this problem?

I have a broadband connection so most open immediately. :D But I've been experiencing this problem too, I just assumed it was because threads like that have a lot of pictures in them.

Yes this problem happens when some of the photos (or rather servers serving photos) in a thread do not reply and the system has to wait for timeout period to proceed. Can't change the timeout. It's part of resize code in place. Moderators are trying to take out img tags out from those "slow" images, because resize check happens only with embedded images.
