Looks very good, given all the branches. Sharp, all in focus, even a touch of catch-light in the eye.

Only piece of advice would be to get rid of all those branches before taking the picture. :)

Thanks!! I could probably clone it out. I will do that.

Good capture. They aren't really cooperative, are they? :)

Please, don't clone out the branches. I am not at all a purist... I like changing reality in Photoshop, but here I think the branches just contribute to the reality of the picture.

Very nice shot!

Actually this one was a different story........Very cooperative and did many different poses. AT the end of our session, this bird even had time to sign a model release form. he he............joking. Yes......they keep flying around from branch to branch.

ALRIGHT!!! Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I tried cloning it but it became too tedious........so it's going to stay as is :-)

I have to agree. You did a great job even with the branches. Lock that one up and try for branchless ones and see if you can do better.

Branches give it depth. I like it.

I know how difficult birds can be. I just started trying to shoot them yesterday, and with a G2 :? They're quick little buggers. Just when you compose the shot to your liking, and get well focused.... gone.

I like this shot. It's not one of those jaw droppers, but it's very nice. Good thing about photography, is that you never seem to recede as far as skill goes. You just continue to improve as time goes on. This is a good shot, and I know you will only get better.

:P

I too think the branches should stay. Bird's in a tree, tree has branches.

Nice
