Still trying to capture the flavors of NYC. In this case the flavor was ginny and tonic-y. I'd hoped to get a three dimensional effect here with a powerful sense of depth... something my publisher-buddy Chris has, even without a G&T ;) Just ask his wife... :lol:http://homepage.mac.com/byrneprintmaker/.Pictures/NewYorkCity/chris1a.jpg

And then there's a second take on this portrait... um, which I guess really explains why it's posted in the experimental section.

And finally,Number Three: the combo buy.... Comments?

I love the 3-D G&T. The colors are great and I like #3 the best. Bottoms up.

This is a superb capture! I love the composition and the style. I cannot decide between 1 and 3!

Great capture, my preference goes to the first one, the other ones seem to have colors breaking down from jpeg downsizing.

Cheers

I like the first one. This strikes me as a potential OOB image. ;)

Um, what's an OOB image? Is this kind of a BOOB image with a British accent? :D

lol - Out Of Bounds - where portions of the subject extend beyond the boundaries of the image. In this case, the drink and perhaps the top portion of Chris's head. It adds a funky dimentional twist. ;)

Ahhh... odd that you saw that. See the yellow wall behind the drink? I created that. Originally it was a rather poor capture of Chris's wife, Beth. So at first I thought I'd run the right frame down that edge (to the immediate left of the yellow wall) and have the drink escape outward into the forbidden world beyond the borders in which we image makers exist. Unfortunately it didn't seem to work. So... I walled it back up... in yellow.
