Hi
Just messing around with a fisheye when I happened to make this :-
http://zonky.org/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7180&g2_serialNumber=2
Initially I wasn't pleased that the man was in the picture. I re-took without him there, but finally like him better where he is.
Comments anyone ?

Very good shot, it has a lot of potential! :) I just wish that the attention was more on the man walking than the gravestones. I think that this would have been possible if the cropping was not as tight on the left. I would have also included the whole building (church?) at the top of the photo by eliminating the negative space to the bottom right of the picture.
Here's a different crop:

Thanks for the comments. I'm fond of aiming for creepy ... cool is a bonus that I can't aim for because I'm not sure what it is :)

So you didn't like my beer gut in there ? Good call :)
Your comments are undoubtedly right but :-
1: I was initially aiming more for the gravestones when this old man walked into frame. I only included him on the spur of the moment.
2: I was trying to exclude a lot of city clutter to the left ... parked cars, the road in front of the 'church', a row of unappealing buildings in the background. I think the same applies to cropping some of the 'church'.
The 'church' is in fact Portsmouth's second cathedral; unusually Portsmouth's first cathedral was the Catholic one rather than a Protestant one.

I like it a lot. I agree more emphasis on the man would be better but you take what you can get sometimes. Nice image.

...or possibly even less emphasis on the old man... make him ghostlike... some may miss it but those that don't may have a little startle... I realize that it becaome a diffrent picture that but it might be fun to fool around with

Oh, I understand that everything is not possible! I was just suggesting a few things but only you know what the situation was like! Like I said, it's still a very nice shot!
