Hello to all,

I'm very new and interested to photography and can't afford to have formal training. I'm glad to find this forum.

I always take photos in automatic mode and would like to explore the manual mode. However, I'm not familiar about the proper adjustment of the upperture, ISO and etc... Can you give me tips on how to adjust the settings from the scenario below?

Moving objects?

Animals and flowers?

Group Pictures?

Night shots?

Thanks in advance.

Go to a bookshop and look for photography books... I'm sure you can find a not too expensive book that explains the basics. Aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc. on a digital camera work the same as on a film-based photo camera, so you don't even need to buy a book that's about digital photography.

Also have a look at http://www.photo.net - select "Learn" / "Taking Pictures..." in the menu. There are tutorials there about shooting different kinds of subjects.
