back story: I was coming into work on friday, and stopped at an intersection. I saw a truck come up to the same intersection and pull over to the side. Someone on the sidewalk was screaming at the guy and the driver jumped out of the truck. I thought at first that the two were going to argue, but the two ran away together. I then noticed that there were smoke and flames shooting out of the truck. After making sure the driver was ok and someone had called 911, I took these shots. No one was injured, but it was pretty intense.

With a higher ISO and faster shutter speed, those could have been awesome shots with the better clarity.

Talk about being in the right place at the right time though.

Ah just a Ford, let it die. Too bad they were not sharp could have made some good newspaper shots.

I always thought FORD stood for Fix Or Repair Daily :)
Fire Or Repair Daily may be more appropriate.

shasta: I wished that I they had been sharper too. maybe some photoshop will help. but I'd never sell it to a paper. I'd feel like I was exploiting someone's tragedy.

mattp: Yes, Its downtown Hartford.
