Bethlehem Steel closed it's Bethlehem facility some years ago. The site has always been of great interest to me. Plan on spending more time down there. Here's two from today. C&C always welcomed.

I like the first one. Has a very peaceful post-apocalyptic feel to it. The second is very good but would be even better with some clouds!

Thank you.

Agree about the clouds, but it was a dreary, gray, cloudless day. I'll be back when the sun's out to try again.

I like the first one, color is great.

Thanks, but I can't take credit. I just happened to stumble on the color while playing with the settings in Aperture. To be honest, I don't have a clue what I'm doing in post processing. Beginners luck to be sure.

Awesome. I live in Detroit and owe it to the abanndoned manufacturing facilities to visit. These are great. Manufacturing is so great because it has no pretense. It is what it is.

I enjoyed seeing your pictures. It's a great site to photograph.

There is an old cemetery on top of a hill overlooking Bethlehem Steel. (I can't remember the street where it's found.) I think it is a great site to shoot Bethlehem Steel because the cemetery and old buildings from town are captured in the foreground. It captures the slow death of a once powerful industry.

Take lots of pics before they tear down Bethlehem Steel and build a casino!
