I do on my laptop! Unfortunately, I NEED photoshop... so I must use windows for that. :D

That was my next question....I don't know much about Linux but I was wondering if you could run PS with it.

It's probably possible with WINE, a linux windows emulator. There is also a free, powerful image editor called Gaim that runs on both Windows and Linux and most of its userbase swears it's just as powerful as Photoshop... but I don't like it! :)

soo everyone is talking about linux, what about that super cute pic!?!?!?!?!? The colors are amazing. Everything is perfectly in focus and the lighting is superb! I love all the textures...and the background. I think its a great pic burnt :)

I've never tried it but there's Gimpshop (http://www.gimpshop.net/) that's suppose to be just like PS.

Only thing about the pic is the crop too close at the top, otherwise a really nice portrait. :)

More specifically, you love Tux ... or at least that's a representation of who your holding in the pic (Tux = the name of the Linux open source penguin for those who didn't know that) :D

It works great!! Partition your hardrive, install windows first, then install your favorite Linux distro on the other partition. Most distros set up the boot loader automatically... so you just have to pick which OS you want to use at boot time.

I tried that on Linux and they layout is a lot more like Photoshop... but it still feels like GIMP and it is SLOW. I like it a lot more than the normal gimp though!!

Tux is ok, he's just more squishy then my computer and takes a better photo :D

WINE is not an emulator... haha - really, thats what they say- sorta like, GNU = GNUs Not Unix... odd...

Cool Tux! Looks like a 24-36" version - I have few 6" tux penguins on my desk. Viva Linux!

That's what I use most of the time as well, windows xp and ubuntu that is (not slackware). I just needed to reformat my machine though, so I haven't put ubuntu back on yet ... something to do for tomorrow I guess :)
